Cybils Winners Around the World

Just found out via the SCBWI Expression e-newsletter that the 2008 Cybils winner for Fiction Picture Books--How to Heal a Broken Wing by Bob Graham--has been translated into Persian by Iranian children's book author and translator Parvin Ali-pour. How cool is that? We think it's extremely cool. Congratulations, Bob!

Cybils Finalists Recognized in International Book Awards

Some good news today for Cybils SFF finalist titles from international authors: Karen Healey's Guardian of the Dead is a finalist in the New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards, and Plain Kate by Erin Bow is a finalist for the Canadian Library Association's 2011 Book of the Year for Children Award.

Congrats to Erin and Karen on earning additional well-deserved recognition!
