This is why we usually go to the Pasadena market. It takes twice as long to get there, but we get back sooner since the only person we know at that market is Esther, who is a busy potato woman.

Well, that's not entirely true. We also run into some of my co-workers every now and then.

I always kind of enjoy running into people I know.

Oh, I love it. I just thought it was funny.

Ok, so what did you buy? I love Farmer's Market shopping lists and envy your weekly trips so much. I must live vicariously.

I've no idea. Plosh does all the buying. Apples, I think. And onions. We always buy onions. And, um, other stuff.

I've been thinking of reviving Sandwich Maven if you're up for some vegetarian recipes. Let me know.

We didn't need much this week, but here's what I remember buying:
Apples
Asian Pears
Baby Bok Choy
Grapes (2 kinds)
Corn on the Cob
Snow Peas (2 kinds)
Onions -- purple and yellow
Scallions

I'm so flattered you think I'm cool and hip and svelte! I'll be floating on that compliment for a while. Thanks! And it was great to see you and the fam at the market.

Our company hosted a conference for our customers this week, and my ex-boss Zeev came by. Zeev left our company and ended up working for a very nice company in a similar industry. As we were talking, he started to stare at the salesman for one of our partners. It turns out that when Zeev joined this nice company, this particular salesman was in the process of leaving this nice company.

Inasmuch as our company's conference was in Orange County, it's appropriate to note that it's a small world after all.
