Today we meet Kelly Fineman, organizer of the Poetry category:
I've been reading and writing poetry since I was a little kid, never thinking it would turn out to be something approaching a vocation when I was an adult.
These days, when I'm not doing school visits or cleaning my house (neither of which I do often enough, I must say), I spend time at my blog, Writing and Ruminating.
I'm also a regular contributor to the Meter Readers column at Kid Magazine Writers.com, and to a group blog designed to appeal to teen male readers, Guys Lit Wire, as well as being an occasional contributor to I.N.K. (Interesting Nonfiction for Kids).
Several of my individual poems have been published in places such as Highlights for Children magazine, an anthology from Blooming Tree Press called Summer Shorts, Write Your Own Poetry by Laura Purdie Salas, Penn & Ink (the online magazine from the Eastern PA SCBWI), and Bits & Scraps, the newsletter for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Jane Austen Society of North America.
