Ta-da ... The Big Reveal. Can I remind everyone that our panelists are the world's most fabulous book bloggers? They had to hunt down an extraordinary number of titles on their own this year. Blame the economy, as review copies were often hard to come by.
A round of applause, please, as our hard-working panelists pass the baton to our judges.

It was gratifying to see so many books I have fallen in love with over the past twelve months (May the odds always be in The Hunger Games favor to win the Newbery!).
I just added scores more books to my "books-to-read" goodreads shelf. Thanks for providing such a wonderful list of must reads to my students and me.

Hi to all the hardworking bloggers out there! I was really honored and touched to hear that EVERY SOUL A STAR was a middle grade finalist. You guys have always been so supportive of my books, and it means a lot to me. So thank you for that, and for pointing me to so many great reads that i wouldn't have found otherwise. (if my editor asks why i'm behind schedule, i'm going to blame you. just a heads up.)
:o)
