Wow. This is one excellent piece of writing, sir. Well done. Wow.

I agree with Toby, above. Geez, Brett. You had me spellbound. I'm glad everyone's alright. Bouncing kids, indeed!

Thanks! This post wrote itself because every moment is so vivid in my memory.

You forgot the part where I groggily get out of bed with you screaming, "she had an accident!" And I said "I'll change her underpants."

It took a minute to realize it wasn't THAT kind of accident.

Ah well. Lael really did cry it was her fault. You poor thing. You were more stricken than she was.

here's to bouncing babes. Would that we all could bounce so well.

No kidding. I marvel how a blister on my hand will take a week or more to heal and only a day for the kids.
