Hey, happy birthday kiddo! That puts you about 18 months ahead of me and, if it's all the same, we'll just leave it that way, shan't we.

Happy birthday Empress!! *curtsies*

You didn't say anything about being beautiful as well as royal, damn you! I love the picture and your first ten 100 Things. I've been stuck on 50 forever.

I'm off to watch more half naked swimmers go for gold. (mmmm...breaststrokers...)

Happy Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day.

I should note that I sort of disagree with you on the after-school job thing. Mine led to me meeting my, uh, first, so something pretty gosh-darn meaningful did come out of it. Well, maybe not that meaningful. But I had a good enough time.

Thank you for posting a bit more detail on Kabbalah. The only thing that I knew about it was that Madonna practiced it. Knowing that Madonna does something is not necessarily a good thing.

We're considering dumping cable, but that would require us to get and install an antenna, and I am not mechanically inclined. Time to ask a favor from my father in law...

And a belated happy birthday. I'm about 18 months ahead of you...

Happy Birthday! You've got about 40 days on me. Hitting 41 in Oct.

Many thanks, everyone! I had a very low-key day, which was great. Lunch in a funky Thai place, a little shopping, a drive in the country, and then the hubby cooked dinner. Perfect.

Thanks for thinking of me.

  • It is good to be the Empress
... but, y'know, it's kinda hectic. I blog when I can. Right now, my day's divided this way: keep kids from screaming (8 hrs); keep son from killing daughter (6 hrs); avoid diet (4 hrs); sleep (2 hrs); lay awake fretting (2 hrs); give up and Web surf for a while (1 hr); think about waking hubby for sex (1/2 hr); ponder my career options (15 mins); shudder, begin blog post (15 mins); resume efforts to keep kids from screaming ...
